The termal performance acheived was than shown to racing community that could not beleive the Effects accheived. So, as shown a cool beer was absobed with pleasre and content of the job well done.
The locomotive A/C unit mounted on the roof can’t perform to its specification due to hot desert temperatures of about 60oC or more causing unit cycling inefficiently.
The tests performed are confirming ability of C-COAT to be used as a solution for this application.
Test results for a Metal plate simulating the current set up are showing that:
After heating the surface it appears that Exit Flux is even higher than Entrance meaning not blocking heat and even making it hotter.
The surface temperature of 59-60oC produces about 54oC below the plate so a minimal reduction (5-6oC) has been observed which will be reduced even further over time.
The Metal plate (4.0mm) sample including primer and top coat only have a thickness of 4.5mm
Test results for the same Metal Plate coated with C-COAT Thermal Insulating coating are showing:
After heating the surface the Heat Flux of about 240 W/m2 is reduced to about 160 W/m2 which is observed reduction of about 34%
The surface temperature of about 57oC went down to about 45oC producing a reduction of 12oC
The Metal plate (4.0mm) sample including primer, C-COAT and top coat have a thickness of 5.5-6.0mm
NOTE: The thickness of C-COAT was made minimal, to about 1.0mm, to see the results with the thinnest layer. NOTE: It would be our recommendation to apply not more than 1.5mm for this application.
Many clients requested a particular colour finish and C-COAT has offered two options:
Tinntinng of C-COAT base
Applying a Topcoat over standard C-COAT
In both cases it was important to establish a base colour that should be used when deriving a formula.
When tinnting we noticed that each paint supplier has it’s own BASE WHITE colour used as a starting point and it was important to identify the difference to C-COAT WHITE (see the round plate in upper left corrner) colour code. Also, we had to test a dry sample before confirming the formulation made by colouring software.
When applying a Topcoat the same issue came in as imporant as different paint are covering differently the white surface below. For some only one coat is required abut for others up to 3 coats are required to match the final selection code.

So, a new company Logo has been designed to reflect those changes and launched in 2022. This work have coincided with a need to improve the type of packaging we used.
The new design square pails are found to be more economical, much much stronger and We also requested a sealed top that is now providing end user with a longer shelf life.
New packaging brought extra values to our products and delivery beneficial to all parties.
Pulford Air client has requesting to supply container thermally insulated and surface in GREEN Colour. Our applicator has used a thin layer of C-COAT upon which they applied our TopCoat in required colour. A number of containers has been successfully delivered to client
