Colour matching to RAL code paints in Laboratory in Australia

Colour matching to RAL code paints in Laboratory in Australia

Client request to match with RAL codes was performed with due diligence in Sydney facility. It was observed that water based coating had to be dried before placed on apparatus for colour matching and it took a few tries and errors to get it right.

The issue was linked to absence of a base colour code for our product and after detailed determination it become easier to use preformatted RAL formulas from OEM supplier of tints.

In-house Testing Chamber – Australia

In-house Testing Chamber – Australia

To learn more about C-COAT performance over various applications and substrates we made a test chamber heated by halogen lights. The samples are positioned in between top and bottom Chamber.

The Heat Flux and Temperature sensors are fitted and connected to a Data Logger. Over period of 6 months we obtained a huge amount of data allowing us to make educated claims. The result of this in-house study is patenting C-COAT measurement model in December 2023.

Storage of C-COAT in Poland facility and transporting FCL to world market

Storage of C-COAT in Poland facility and transporting FCL to world market

Shown are storage of C-COAT in Poland facility and loading FCL to clients. Difficulties in storing water-based products such as C-COAT during European winter were overcame by using indoor heated areas to make sure temperatures are above freezing limits.

For loading FCL we also had to wait for some sunny days and it is suggested to add some contingency time during winter periods. During transport to the final destination precautionary measures should be taken to ensure no freezing temperatures inside the container.

Virgin Galactic space shuttle project

Virgin Galactic space shuttle project

We were asked if C-COAT is able to provide a protection from the extreme heat while space shuttle is returning to earth? Although without previous experience with space applications our Team at C-COAT accepted a challenge and after 2 years of cooperation, initially with The Spaceship Company (TSC) which was later re-branded to Virgin Galactic, the innovative solution with C-COAT Thermal Insulating Coating material was implemented to the one of “flying birds”.

All successful launches and returns to earth in 2022-2023 were also contributed by C-COAT! We are very proud on that our light weight thin coating insulating material is associated with revolutionary “feather technique” of landing space shuttle.

The “Safe to Touch” steam pipe 200oC project in INDIA

The “Safe to Touch” steam pipe 200oC project in INDIA

Indian distributor has demonstrated a “safe to touch” feature of C-COAT products over steamed Pipes with about 200oC plain surface temperature.

The steam pipes were coated with a thin layer of C-COAT and although FLIR IR camera was showing reduction down to 110oC – 150oC surface temperature the operator was able to touch it by bare hand.
It is important to mention that anything above 58oC would cause skin burns and this was the reason for our Team to publish the comparative graph showing the Surface Temperature vs Actual C-COAT “safe to touch” Temperature and publish it together with explanation of this phenomenon

LOKORAIL Project Bratislava Slovakia

LOKORAIL Project Bratislava Slovakia

The demand for a safe transporting of chemicals exposed to Sun heat during long haulage resulted In LokoRail Slovakia – Europe contractors applying C-COAT over cisterns with sensitive materials Transport. At the same time they achieved prevention of CUI and extremely low maintenance cycle.
